Falling Sex Ratio

The  Sex Ratio (number of girls per thousand boys) in India has fallen from 909 in 2001 to 883  in 2011.
It means that that for every thousand boys there are only 883 and that too fallen from 909 (in 2001). This is just the average sex ratio of the country . The sex ration of states like Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Gujrat etc is extremely worrisome due to largely practiced female infanticides in these regions. (See Map below)

Its a shame that the country which prays goddess Durga, a land on which women like Rani Lakshmi Bai, Kalpana Chawala Chawala, Lata Mangeshkar are borned  is facing a crisis or a hatred for women.
Let us convert this shame to a challenge of abolishing the female infanticides and exploitation.
